NMU Wesley Campus Ministry is an intentional, expansive faith community that supports students and young adults in their faith journey.
What is NMU Wesley up to this fall?
NMU Wesley is hosting weekly Sunday night Dinner and Devos where the students help a cook homemade meal and gather together for fellowship and spiritual formation. We also offer a coffeehouse called CommonGrounds that is free for all to come and enjoy a cup of coffee, a snack, WiFi, and a space to be. CommonGrounds is a partnership ministry with Lutheran Campus Ministry and is run by NMU Wesley students. We are also working with the Presbyterian Campus Ministry to host the CROP WALK on Oct 6th to increase awareness around hunger. We offer hiking adventures, book studies, and self-care workshops each week. We plan to have at least two service opportunities this fall in addition to the Crop Walk.
How can we become involved?
Anyone, individual or congregation, can help support the ministry of NMU Wesley through prayers and financial donations. $50 covers the cost of a Sunday night Dinner and Devo and $20 covers the cost to run the book study, self-care, and hiking adventure for one week. $200 covers the cost to support the students working CommonGrounds in their effort create a clean warm welcoming space for all who come. Help other people learn about us by talking and sharing! We are not just for those students who also attend MQT Hope. We are for all NMU students in the greater MQT area and we know many of the congregations in the Northern Skies District have young adults that are attending NMU!
